Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE May 24, 2023 On May 15, 2023, at approximately 10:40 PM, District Five officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 3300 block of Central Parkway. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Cincinnati Fire Department personnel responded and transported the victim to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The victim is a male 34 years of age. Shortly after the shooting, two additional shooting victims from this incident, arrived at area hospitals, by way of private conveyance. The two surviving victims are not being identified at this time. UPDATE On May 24, 2023, The Cincinnati Police Department Fugitive Apprehension Squad located and arrested, Mr. Demarco Smith, a male 35 years of age, on an open Murder warrant for the shooting death, of the 34-year-old male in the 3300 block of Central Parkway. The second subject was deceased on-scene and has been identified as Dayshawn Blair, 22 years of age. Case Information: CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION SECTION MEDIA RELEASE March 06, 2023 On February 18, 2023, at approximately 4:45 AM, District Four officers, along with Cincinnati Fire Department personnel, responded to the 1100 block of Clearbrook Drive for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, District Four officers located an unresponsive gunshot victim, who was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center by Cincinnati Fire Department personnel. A second victim was transported by private conveyance to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. On March 3, 2023, Trevion Spraggs, a male 17 years of age, succumbed to his injuries at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Currently, The Cincinnati Police Department will not release any further information on the surviving victim. On March 6, 2023, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, with the assistance of District Four’s Investigative Unit, charged Jesse Mascus, a male 15 years of age, with causing the death of Trevion Spraggs.

First responders located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds at the location. Both victims were determined to be deceased at the scene. The victims have been identified as Mildred Howell, 74 years of age and Clarence Howell, 82 years of age. The preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Howell shot Mrs. Howell and then killed himself. District Four Officers along with Cincinnati Fire Personnel responded and located a black male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as Serreno Foster, male 18 years of age. *UPDATE* On February 6, 2023, the Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit, in conjunction with the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, determined that, Eric Johnson Jr., male 19 years of age, (deceased) is responsible for the death of Serreno Foster. The case will be closed with the death of Mr. Johnson.
